Registration for the 2017 Walk for Remembrance & Hope includes a Share Walk t-shirt and a red pinwheel.
- The online store is now open but will close on September 1. All merchandise will be on sale again the day of the Walk. Make sure you purchase ahead of time.
- This event will occur rain or shine, however Share reserves the right to cancel due to extreme circumstances. No refunds will be issued due to cancellation or a registrant’s absence; registrations fees will be considered a donation to Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When and where is the Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope?
This year’s event will be held on October 21, 2017 in Frontier Park in St. Charles, MO. Registration opens at 8 a.m. (for those not registered) and the service will begin promptly at 10 a.m.
How much is it to participate in the Share Walk for Remembrance & Hope?
Early Registration (before 9/1/17, 11:55pm): Adult: $25 Youth: $15
Late Registration (after 9/1/17): Adult: $30 Youth: $20
Children 4 and under are not required to register. There will be infant/toddler shirts available for purchase in the online store ONLY until 9/1.
What if I register for the event, but then am unable to pick-up my t-shirt? Can I have my shirt shipped to me?
Due to the vast requests, we are no longer able to mail items BEFORE the event. However, you are welcome to designate someone to pick up your shirt for you or you can pick it up the day of the event. If you designate shipping on your registration form, it will be shipped AFTER the Walk.
Will baby names be on the back of the t-shirts?
Unfortunately, the number of baby names registered has now grown to over 500 names and we physically are no longer able to put all the names on the shirts. Instead of your baby’s/ies names being on the t-shirts, we will have a Baby Memorial Wall at the event. All names registered prior to 9/1 will appear on the Memorial Wall. YOU MUST REGISTER BEFORE 9/1. Also, we will provide open space on the back of the Walk t-shirt and encourage each family to personalize their shirt with their own baby’s name(s). We look forward to seeing your wonderful creations in memory of your baby!
Shirt sizes are NOT guaranteed for anyone who registers after the 9/1 early registration deadline. When filling out the online registration form, please enter your baby’s name in the “I walk in memory of” field, EXACTLY how you want it to appear on the Memorial Wall and announced at the memorial service. Multiple names should be separated with a semi-colon. Please also be sure to clarify any unusual pronunciations by calling the National Share Office 646-947-6164.
What if I missed the registration deadline, can I still get my child’s name on the Memorial Wall?
Unfortunately, for the wall to be printed in time for the event, you must have your registration in prior to the September 1st deadline to have your baby’s name on the 2017 Memorial Wall.
How can I make sure my baby’s name is spelled correctly for placement on the Memorial Wall?
We will post a list of names from September 8th-12th. Please visit the Share website on those days to make sure your baby’s name is spelled correctly. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of spelling if you do not contact us with corrections by September 12. Please contact Rose Carlson for any changes, email@example.com.
How can I customize my shirt if I register or pick up the day of the Walk?
The Creation Station tent will provide materials to customize your shirt.
Will there be a balloon release? What will replace the balloon release?
As the event has grown over the years, we have decided to not have a balloon release to protect our environment. This year, you will receive a red pinwheel to hold in the air as your baby’s name is read. The Share Staff will hand them out the day of the Walk.
Will there be a dove release this year?
Yes, you can count on another beautiful dove release.
After my baby’s name is read at the ceremony, do I start my walk?
NO, please do not start your walk until every baby’s name is read and please be quiet and courteous so everyone can hear their baby’s name.
Can family and friends join us to walk without registering?
Due to liability reasons, every participant is required to register.
Are pets welcome at the Share Walk?
Family pets are not allowed at the Share Walk for the safety of all participants and park regulations.
Am I required to fundraise to participate in the Share Walk?
Fundraising is not required, although it is encouraged. We ask all participants to set a minimum fundraising goal of $100. Raise over $2000 to become a Share Ambassador and receive two free tickets to Angel Ball on May 19, 2017 at the Westport Sheraton Chalet!
How can I pick up my event shirt to have on the day of the walk?
Please pick up your t-shirts at the National Share Office: 402 Jackson Street, Saint Charles, MO 63301 on Sunday, October 1st from 11am-4pm or October 2 or 3rd from 9:30am to 6pm.

Where can I park?
Parking is available at the large lot near the Boat House, just south of Frontier Park. (Do not park in Ameristar’s portion of the Boat House parking lot for risk of being towed.) Additional parking is available in any of the public lots along Riverside Drive. There is also a parking garage on N. 2nd Street.
Is lunch available?
A hamburger lunch (hamburger, chips and beverage) and a hot dog lunch (hot dog, chips and beverage) can be pre-ordered on your registration form. These lunch items will also be sold following the service for $5 each. Plan on staying to enjoy fun, food and friendship!
Are there any activities for children?
Yes! Once again we will have Creation Station; an area where children are welcome to make creative mementos.
How do I have my baby’s name(s) read at the service if I miss the September 1 registration deadline?
If you register after September 1, you must give your baby’s name the DAY OF THE EVENT at the baby names’ tent. These additional names will not be placed alphabetically in the list of names to be read, but will be included in the service once all other names are read. Please be sure to arrive early if you need a name added to the list.
How long will the service last and will seating be available?
The service should last about an hour, and there is no seating provided at the park. Please plan to stand for the length of the service or feel free to bring chairs or blankets.
If I am coming from out of town, are there accommodations nearby?
