Share Chapter in Zebulon, North Carolina

Angel Prints Corporation (Share Chapter in Zebulon, North Carolina) held its second annual ‘Remembering Our Little Angels’ 3K Awareness Walk to uplift the important issue of pregnancy and infant loss during National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10 a.m.  The event was held at Zebulon Town Hall and provided a unique opportunity for parents, family members, loved ones, and the community to come together and raise awareness as well as honor and remember the little angels who left us way too soon. 

The Awareness Walk included a brief ceremony featuring music, words of hope and encouragement by Vice President of the National Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Board of Directors, Stacey Motley, and a moment of tribute, where attendees planted butterflies in remembrance of their baby in a butterfly garden with a bubble release.  The ceremony was highlighted by the Town of Zebulon Mayor, Glenn York, as he read (2) proclamations recognizing the month of October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and October 15^th as Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day at the local level for the Town of Zebulon, and one for the state of North Carolina, signed and sealed by Governor Roy Cooper recognizing October 15^th as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  Additionally, we had resource providers and a resource table with resources from community providers.  This offered an opportunity to make families and participants aware of available resources and connect them to meaningful resources in the community. 

Following the ceremony, participants joined together for an optional 3K walk around the front lawn of the Zebulon Town Hall facility.  

The 3K Awareness Walk event was a huge success and served its purpose of bringing the community together for a day of celebration, remembrance, reflection, and healing.
